Hello! Happy Mother's Day to the amazing women out there! Thank you to all of you who have made an impact in my life, especially my momma! 🫶
This week started interesting when our zone leaders deciding to almost drown an elder for their object lesson 🤦♀️ no one worry he's okay lol
This week we did lots and lots of finding. We're in a rebuilding phase right now. One street we knocked everyone had an airplane in their garage-kinda crazy but cool.
We drove an hour to visit one of our friends because she hasn't been responding to our texts or calls and luckily she was home! We got to talk to her for a sec and she said she's still interested but still isn't responding to our texts...please pray for her.
A major blessing was this super nice lady in a grocery store who was so kind and was willing to listen to our scripture and said she could feel the joy of sharing the gospel coming from us which was so sweet! It made my day.
We had the coolest service opportunity this week! One of our members is restoring a 1969 Pontiac and we got to help paint some of it!
We unlocked a new part of our area while visiting a member, meaning we discovered people are nice there so we're gonna go there more often plus the member was chill. He wants to get back into church.
Mother's Day! Sunday was good, no friends came to church, rip, but all 3 New Members were there! We did some Chalking and heart attacked a member who was sick for Mother's Day and her birthday. I got to talk to my mom which was a major highlight! I just love and look up to her so much!
Monday, transfer news! I am...staying and we are getting a third!
For pday we are signing transfer journals, going to Trader Joe's, Crumble because apparently they have dirty soda, and getting stuff ready for our third.
Spiritual Thought: A quote I loved from a talk Sister Stoker and I studied on Mother's Day was,
"Today I declare from this pulpit what has been said here before: that no love in mortality comes closer to approximating the pure love of Jesus Christ than the selfless love a devoted mother has for her child. When Isaiah, speaking messianically, wanted to convey Jehovah’s love, he invoked the image of a mother’s devotion. “Can a woman forget her sucking child?” he asks. How absurd, he implies, though not as absurd as thinking Christ will ever forget us."
("Behold Thy Mother"
By Elder Jeffrey R. Holland)
Moms are the best and they truly emulate the love our Savior has for each and every one of us.
Love you all!
