Tour Passed Off

 Hi everyone!

I feel like a lot but nothing happened this week all at the same time.
We spent about 3-4 hours studying everyday to work on one of our tours. We also practiced segments one of the tours everyday. After all that studying, we passed off our full tour and start giving them tomorrow!
We had an extra p day on Friday since we only had a half one the week before. So, we went antiquing, thrifting, and got ice cream. Lots of fun but we were all tired by the end of it.
We had another game night. One of the senior couples brought the best cake ever, and I don't really like cake so that's saying something.
We also got our church assignment. We're in the Perry ward which is a nice 30 minute drive from our house, it reminds me that I'm not in Utah and that there aren't churches on every corner here. But my ward is good, very small, but we have some entertaining half deaf old ladies so it's fun.
Spiritual thought: In the Kirtland Temple tour you learn about the effort that the saints put into building God's home. They did their best to make it the exact way God wanted it. Though it wasn't perfect, God still accepted it. This is just a good reminder to us that though we're not perfect God will still accept us.
Love you all! Thanks for the love and support!

Go to the Ohio

Hello everyone! Like the title says I'm now in Ohio. Finished up the MTC now getting ready to give tours.

The last week of MTC we had a devotional on the importance of the garment from Mathew L. Carpenter of the Seventy and it was super good. This was our last day with the elders so they gave some of us sisters a blessing before we go and it was a powerful experience.
On Monday and Tuesday in the MTC I started my Ohio training. My teachers were great and did a good job at preparing us for what was to come at the site. Part of our training was giving a tour of the MTC which went well and was a cool experience to learn more about the history of the MTC.
Wednesday we had a 2:30 am wake up call and got on a bus, the front runner, tracks, and 2 planes and now I'm in Ohio.
We got to tour the Kirtland Temple the day we got here and it's really neat. I won't lie, I was so tired so I'm excited to go there when I'm more awake.
We've be able to tour all the sites, so the Temple, the Smith home, the Johnson farm, the Ashery/Sawmill,  and we've gone through the Whitney Home and Store many times since that's the tour we need to have learned by Thursday.
I've been able to give segments of the  Whitney Home and Store tour and it's been really cool learning about it.
But yeah preparing for those tours is what I've mostly been doing.
Some other stuff is that I got a new companion, Sister Lane! She's awesome, she was one of my roommates in the MTC. We have 6 sisters in our house and they were all in our MTC district so it's been fun. Our house is from the 1800s so it has some funky characteristics.
I learned that it's tornado season so that's a new thing for me.
We had game night with the Senior missionaries Saturday which was so fun! The seniors are awesome and spoil us so much!
There's a commemoration for the Kirtland Temple dedication and all the Sisters are singing in the choir.
Last but not least, I've officially been a missionary for 1 month! Pretty crazy.
Spiritual thought: Something I have learned here is that God truly does provide a way. I've seen it in the history of the restoration and in these fast few days as I have been trying to learn the tours. It takes effort but know that God will always help and will make His will possible.
Thank you all for the love and support!
I love and appreciate you all!

Last Week of MTC

Hello everyone! Like I said I have less than a week left in the MTC, crazy!

This week was good. So, let's get into it.
We had our first sacrament meeting Sunday and it was the most spiritual testimony meetings I've ever been in-it was so neat! My companion and I taught part of the relief society lesson on the Holy Ghost and it went good! This coming up Sunday I'm speaking in sacrament on the Book of Mormon so hopefully it goes well.
All the girls in my district decided to sing in the choir and we got to sing in our devotional. The devotional was so good! A member of the presidency of the 70 and his wife spoke.
We have been able to go to the temple twice already and are going again tomorrow. We get to do all the different ordinances and we're doing sealings tomorrow which I'm so excited about.
On Wednesday my comp and I went on an adventure to the endodontist for her to get a root canal. It went good and she's doing good. Honestly it was really nice to get out of the MTC for a little bit.
My comp and I had our final practice lessons this week and we got a perfect score on one...I honestly don't know how cause the lesson kinda went all over the place but hey we'll take it. The other one we had was so spiritual. We showed the video of the first vision and after that the spirit was so strong.
Something funny about being in the MTC and a missionary in general is that you don't get a lot of entertainment, so little things just become so funny. My comp and I we're trying to do a practice lesson with these elders in our district during class and we could not stop laughing, I honestly couldn't tell you why. Then today we had a devotional on "preparing for the field" and they taught us through a play they performed, and it was just so funny and entertaining for us.
But yeah that's my week.
Spiritual thought: Boyd K. Packer said, "When you repent of your sins there is no trace left of those sins...The Church of Jesus Christ, bares no scars." (this was shared during our Tuesday devotional)
I just love this because I feel like as people we really hold onto every mistake we make and struggle to forgive ourselves, but it is important that once we repent God remembers them no more.
Love you all!
