✨️Temple Day✨️

Hello everyone! We had a temple pday this week so that's why you're hearing from me today. A lot has happened since my last email so lets get into it.

We started the week off with some exchanges which was lots of fun. We were able to talk to lots of cool people and planted lots of seeds.

The big low light of the week was right after getting a new person to teach our friend Joey texted us and said he wasn't ready to get baptized Sunday. I won't lie I was sad. I've been working with Joey since the day we found him and I just wanted him to receive the blessings of baptism so badly. But after talking to my stl I felt more peace about knowing that him feeling ready is most important.

We had amazing lesson with one of our friends and she expressed her desire to work towards baptism! Plus her boys are so cute!

Friday we got kicked out of another store. Rip. No more finding there (at least for a little bit).

We had an amazing lesson with Joey and he felt the spirit while reading the Book of Mormon! We set a new date for him so everyone PLEASE keep praying for him.

We had another great lesson this time with our friend Marquette and put him on date for baptism! The Lord is hastening his work!

Zone Conference! I saw Sister Hendrix so that was a win plus I learned lots. There was a big emphasis on really listening to our friends and getting to know them before we jump into teaching them.

Today for pday we are went the temple and let me tell you God listens to the prayers of our hearts. Today we got to the temple pretty early so we were waiting in the dressing room before a session and a worker came up to us. She asked if we wanted to do 1 initiatory and we happily said yes! If you know me you know I LOVE initiatories and haven't done them since the mtc so I was so happy! PLUS one of the workers was from my last ward so mega tender mercy!

The rest of pday we're getting food with our district then doing some cleaning before our apartment inspections.

Spiritual thought:
"Walk with Jesus and allow thay to be what matters most and continue to give him your all!"
This was one of the key points I took away with me from zone conference and I think we can all apply it to ourselves. Remember to make Christ the center of your life because through him all things are possible.

Love you all!

✨️Miracles Upon Miracles✨️

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week! This week was really good for us.

On Tuesday we had an awesome lesson with our new friend Caitlin. She is so sweet. Right after she sent in her ad to meet with us her little boy told her he wanted to go to church, and she and her 2 boys came Sunday.

Wednesday we spent most of the day at a new missionary training. Overall it was pretty good, I definitely learned a few things to help me train.

A cool miracle from Wednesday is when trying to visit someone who submitted an ad we met their neighbor who is interested. We read a scripture and set up a time to meet later.

Thursday we were able to have a few short lessons over the phone and had an awesome lesson with our new member, trying to get him ready for the temple.

Friday was awesome!!! We were able to put our friend Joey on date for baptism for next week. So everyone PLEASE pray for him!

Sunday was also SO good! We had 4 friends come to church. They all made connections with the branch and seemed to feel the spirit there.

Today is Sister Stoker's birthday so we are going to DC so that should be fun.

Spiritual thought: While studying my Book of Mormon this week I was studying about the Stripling Soldiers. These young sons fought valiantly and were blessed for it.
Alma 57: 26
"26 And now, their preservation was astonishing to our whole army, yea, that they should be spared while there was a thousand of our brethren who were slain. And we do justly ascribe it to the miraculous power of God, because of their exceeding faith in that which they had been taught to believe—that there was a just God, and whosoever did not doubt, that they should be preserved by his marvelous power."
Through their faith they were preserved and blessed by the Lord. As we are faithful and strive to so the Lord's will to the fullest, we will see similar blessings.

Love you all! Have a great week!

🏵He is Risen🏵

Hello everyone and Happy Easter! I hope you all had a great Easter and General Conference! This week was a busy one!

Wednesday we had transfers but since I'm training I didn't get a companion so the other sisters who are training and I went on a little exchange for a little over a day. Let me tell you, we had so much fun! It was so hot and sunny when we were knocking and then we went to the metro finding and got POURED on after lol! Maryland weather is crazy. Plus we got Café Rio and went to Sheetz (a gas station) and I was able to make a dirty soda so 10/10 exchange!

Thursday we went to the mission office, met the new sisters (not knowing who we'd be with) and had some trainings. At the end we learned our companions and I'm with...Sister Stoker! She is so awesome! She has jumped in the fire and is working so hard!

Conference weekend was so awesome! We got to watch the Saturday morning session with part of the mission at the Visitor Center and it was so cool standing up with a bunch of missionaries to vote during the Solemn Assembly. That evening we just watched the next session of conference at our house and did some finding.

For the Sunday morning session of conference we watched it at our church. Beforehand our friend Joey texted us saying he might not come cause he had a rough week so we were blessed with the peace of conference and he came! And let me tell you that session was geared toward him. Plus 2 formers came and we set up a lesson with one of them.

Originally we didn't have a dinner appointment for Easter but Saturday evening one of members called us to make sure we had an appointment and when he found out we didn't he made some arrangements for us to come over Sunday evening. So we had dinner and watched the evening session with him and his family. Such a major blessing and highlight of Easter.

For pday we are going to scout out some beaches and get some grocery shopping done.

Spiritual thought:
A quote I loved from conference by Elder Gilbert was,
"You don't have to be perfect to be in the church. You just have to do your best and Christ will make up the rest."
This so true! We are all God's children and all he wants is for us to be coming unto him. We need to not let our fears of imperfection keep us from coming to him.

Love you all!
