Hello everyone! Another week has come and gone and lets just say it has been an interesting one.
Transfers happened! Sister Stoker and my new companion is Sister Adams. She is from Utah, have been out 6 months, and was actually companions with my trainer last transfer.
I also said bye to Sister Hendrix rip 😢
This week started with our 1 lesson this week dropping us. So we were a little stressed.
The start of this transfer has been interesting, starting with no friends, and lots of mean people. But God provided, every mean person was followed by someone who was interested.
Friday we went to this small part of our area and I had a long conversation with this guy who has been through alot but has seen God's hands through it. Later while knocking we met his mom and set up a lesson with her! Then we met this guy who was interested too!
Saturday was Kent Island days. We got to see the parade before we started finding at the festival and it was much needed! Our zone was fasting Saturday to get our friends to church so the yummy smelling food truck food made me a bit hungry haha. We ran into one of our new members there so he walked around with us as we talked with people and when we realized people were either from out of town or not interested he came knocking with us, so that was fun.
For Pday we are running errands, going thrifting, and might get a sweet treat.
Spiritual thought: While preparing for a training I have to do tonight I came upon this quote that I liked on feasting on the words of Christ:
"Feasting upon the words of Christ will bring life-sustaining revelation, reaffirm our true identity and worth before God as His child, and lead our friends unto Christ and everlasting life."
-"Feasting upon the Words of Christ"
By Elder Takashi Wada
I have had so many prayers answered as I have feasted on the words of Christ in my Book of Mormon study and I know that the promises he makes here are true!
Love you all!
