Hello everyone! We had a temple pday this week so that's why you're hearing from me today. A lot has happened since my last email so lets get into it.
We started the week off with some exchanges which was lots of fun. We were able to talk to lots of cool people and planted lots of seeds.
The big low light of the week was right after getting a new person to teach our friend Joey texted us and said he wasn't ready to get baptized Sunday. I won't lie I was sad. I've been working with Joey since the day we found him and I just wanted him to receive the blessings of baptism so badly. But after talking to my stl I felt more peace about knowing that him feeling ready is most important.
We had amazing lesson with one of our friends and she expressed her desire to work towards baptism! Plus her boys are so cute!
Friday we got kicked out of another store. Rip. No more finding there (at least for a little bit).
We had an amazing lesson with Joey and he felt the spirit while reading the Book of Mormon! We set a new date for him so everyone PLEASE keep praying for him.
We had another great lesson this time with our friend Marquette and put him on date for baptism! The Lord is hastening his work!
Zone Conference! I saw Sister Hendrix so that was a win plus I learned lots. There was a big emphasis on really listening to our friends and getting to know them before we jump into teaching them.
Today for pday we are went the temple and let me tell you God listens to the prayers of our hearts. Today we got to the temple pretty early so we were waiting in the dressing room before a session and a worker came up to us. She asked if we wanted to do 1 initiatory and we happily said yes! If you know me you know I LOVE initiatories and haven't done them since the mtc so I was so happy! PLUS one of the workers was from my last ward so mega tender mercy!
The rest of pday we're getting food with our district then doing some cleaning before our apartment inspections.
Spiritual thought:
"Walk with Jesus and allow thay to be what matters most and continue to give him your all!"
This was one of the key points I took away with me from zone conference and I think we can all apply it to ourselves. Remember to make Christ the center of your life because through him all things are possible.
Love you all!
